Google, You Need To Respond To This Story About Your Engineer Who Stole User Info And Used It To Stalk People

Google, You Need To Respond To This Story About Your Engineer Who Stole User Info And Used It To Stalk People: "

barksdal

Adrian Chen of Gawker is reporting that a Google engineer accessed private user information from Google's systems and then used it to stalk teenagers

The engineer, David Barksdale, was fired from Google in July.

This is a very serious issue: Behavior like this is terrifying for anyone who trusts a company like Google with their personal information.

If Gawker's information is wrong, therefore, Google should immediately say so.

If Gawker's information is correct, meanwhile, Google needs to acknowledge what happened, explain what its response was, and describe the steps it has taken to assure users that this won't happen again.

This is too serious an issue to hide behind a no comment.

Soon To Be Viral Video Of "Obnoxious" Dude And Old Guy Brawling At The US Open

Soon To Be Viral Video Of "Obnoxious" Dude And Old Guy Brawling At The US Open: "

Boy do we love John Koblin's annual US Open blog:

During the second-round match last night between Novak Djokovic and Philipp Petzschner, some guy who was reportedly 'cursing and acting obnoxiously' got into an argument in the stands with a woman in her forties. She slapped him. He flipped out. Then the woman's 70-something father TOOK THIS DUDE DOWN.

Then they all got taken away in cuffs, according to The New York Times.

A nearby tennis fan captured the fracas on video.

'I caught the whole escapade!' he said, laughing. 'We're gonna go on YouTube!'

Will it go viral?
